My friend Owen and I took my new boat out on a lake to fish, just trying to learn how to take my stillwater fishing to the next level. We didn’t think the weather would turn so fast… but it did. Wind picked up hard, rain came down cold, and we realized too late we couldn’t make it back to the dock—since we were only supposed to run my electric motor on that lake. We ended up beaching the boat and walking back to the truck for cover in the middle of a spring storm.
And of course—I was in sandals. Soaked. Cold. Mildly miserable.
